RAP Fine Stripping and Screening Plant Delivers High-Recovery Asphalt Recycling in a Mature Market

2026-07-28

With more than 40 years of asphalt pavement recycling experience, Taiwan represents one of Asia's most demanding markets for reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP). As recycled content continues to increase, conventional crushing and screening methods struggle to deliver the particle quality and gradation consistency required for high-RAP asphalt production.

To address this challenge, NFLG's RAP Fine Stripping and Screening Plant has been successfully commissioned, introducing a new approach to RAP processing.

Instead of conventional crushing alone, the system adopts a specialized stripping process that combines impact, friction, and rubbing actions to separate aged asphalt binder from aggregates while minimizing false-sized particles. Together with its precision multi-stage screening technology, RAP is accurately classified into four fractions, significantly improving aggregate quality and enabling higher RAP incorporation in new asphalt mixtures.

Designed with a fully modular architecture integrating feeding, crushing, screening, conveying, dust collection, and intelligent control, the plant delivers capacities of up to 160 tph while simplifying transportation, installation, and operation.

Already proven across multiple asphalt recycling projects, the technology is now helping customers achieve higher recycled content, more stable asphalt quality, and greater resource efficiency in one of the industry's most demanding recycling environments.

By maximizing the value of reclaimed asphalt pavement, NFLG continues to support road contractors in reducing virgin aggregate consumption, lowering carbon emissions, and advancing circular construction in line with global ESG objectives.
